his is an amazing larger Amethyst gemstone ring. Set in 14kt gold (tested), comes with a professional appraisal. The Amethyst is a rich violet purple color, you can see the flashes in the photos. Eye clean gemstone, it's 22x16x10.8mm, approximately 21.75 carats. The setting tested as 14kt gold, but the shank originally had a lot of wear and was thin in areas, so I had gold added back into it and it has been plated with rhodium. While this item can be sized, your jeweler must be made aware of the rhodium coating. The coating just preserves the luster a lot longer.

From an estate, I believe the Cathedral style setting is very Art Deco style, looking at it, you will most likely agree. I am not sure this was the original gemstone in the setting simply because there is very little abrasion on it at all. It's completely clean to the naked eye.

But putting both together, you will no doubt agree this is a masterpiece, and unique.
